FELLSWARM

Swarming Insectoids

LORE

Within the region of Bagoro, spawning from deep chitinous hives within the mountains and ground, The Fellswarm grow. A hive-minded legion of sentient insectoids, driven by one overriding directive — to consume and conquer.

The Fellswarm, while having individuality amongst themselves, acts as a unified swarm — a crawling, skittering tide of bioengineered bodies working in perfect coordination. Each member of the swarm, from the blade-limbed serrator beasts to the biogun spiker infantry, is grown with purpose, born to serve the swarm's relentless hunger for growth.

Fueled by an insatiable drive to expand, the Fellswarm invades ecosystems to harvest all available biomass — flora, fauna, even the dead — breaking it down and repurposing it as fuel to grow the reach of their swarm. The harvested matter is used to construct Biomass Nodes, pulsating growths that anchor the swarm’s presence in new territory. These nodes not only spread the Fellswarm’s influence but also mark potential birthing grounds for new units, hatched fully formed and battle-ready.

Armed with organic weapons evolved for war — acidic bio launchers, bladed limbs, armor piercing spike bioguns — the Fellswarm wields a mix of brutal melee and ranged bio-weapons, each adapted to overwhelm and consume opposition. Their tactics are ruthless and efficient: overwhelm, consume, and grow.

Where the Fellswarm spreads, nothing remains untouched. Forests are reduced to fungal hives, cities become breeding pits, and battlefields become biomass farms. They are not conquerors for glory or power — instinct personified. To fight them is to resist nature’s most primal form of evolution: the Fellswarm.

PLAYSTYLE

The Fellswarm thrive by spreading across the battlefield, gaining momentum as their presence grows. Players deploy Biomass Nodes throughout the field. Units within Range of a Biomass Node benefit from passive healing and may reroll attacks each round.

To maintain these powerful bonuses, it's crucial to keep your Units within Range of nearby Biomass Nodes. Once a Unit moves out of Range, these benefits are lost, and its Speed is reduced.

Fellswarm strategy revolves around careful expansion—steadily advancing across the map, establishing new Biomass Nodes, and maintaining a strong network. Protect your nodes at all costs; they are the heart of your swarm, and the key to overwhelming your enemy.
